Stefan Wolter has been appointed as jury member of the first "Friedrich-Edding-Preis" for research in vocational traning and education. The price is awarded to outstanding dissertations in different scientific disciplines dealing on VET questions.

To analyze the impact of this change on the schooling outcomes of migrants, staff paper 7 compares the PISA (OECD Programme for International Student Assessment) results from 2000, which were not yet affected by the change in the migration policy, with the PISA 2009 test.

On November 11, 2010 the Director of the SCCRE, Prof. Dr. Stefan C. Wolter, was elected President of the Consortium of Institutions for Development and Research in Education in Europe (CIDREE) for the years 2011-2012. By the end of 2011, the Secretariat will be hosted by the SCCRE.

Wolter, has been elected President of the OECD Group... At their sixth meeting, the delegates of the OECD member states have elected Prof. Dr. Stefan C. Wolter as the new President of the OECD Group of National Experts on Vocational Education & Training. The OECD is conducting a broad-based study entitled “Skills beyond School” to examine and compare higher vocational education and training in different countries, including Switzerland. For the “Skills beyond School” study, Switzerland will serve as a test country for the review to be conducted in 2011.
