Swiss Leading House Paper: The virtues of going virtual

SKBF Director Stefan Wolter, as well as Chiara Graf and Daniel Goller from the University of Bern, have been able to quantitatively analyse the effect of career fairs for the first time. They found that they significantly increase the search for apprenticeship vacancies. Compared to face-to-face fairs, however, virtual fairs perform better in terms of both the number of searches and the breadth of interest in various professions. As virtual fairs are more cost-effective and can be organised at any number of locations, this would be a way of making young people's career choices even more effective.
