What is the monetary value of dropping out of university compared to work and travel experience? To answer this question, the SCCRE, in collaboration with the Research Centre for Economics of Education at the University of Berne, analysed the data from a survey experiment. The results show that a discontinued degree programme is hardly rewarded in monetary terms for a position as an executive assistant. Instead, recruiters prefer candidates who have completed a traineeship.
