Data security

All personal information that you entrust to us and that you enter on the SKBF | CSRE  website will not be disclosed to anyone outside the Swiss Coordination Centre for Research in Education. In order to protect the security of your data to the greatest possible extent, ‑ we should specifically point out that there is no such thing as absolute security ‑ we use modern security systems and store your personal data on a secure server. All of the systems we use to store your customer data are password-protected. The transmission of data to and from the browser is also encrypted using state-of-the-art technology; the certificate is recognised by all common browsers.

Cookies

Some of the webpages use what are called cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. They are used to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are known as session cookies. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit.

Data protection policy for the use of Matomo

This website uses the open-source web analytics service “Matomo”. Matomo uses what are known as “cookies”. These are text files that are stored by your browser and make it possible to analyse how you use the website. In the process, the information the cookie generates about the use of this website is stored on our server. The IP address is anonymised before the data is stored.

The information the cookie generates about the use of this website is not passed on to any third parties. You may block the storage of cookies by configuring the appropriate settings in your browser. Information, deletion, blocking

You have the right obtain information, free of charge and at any time, about your personal data stored by us, its origin, the recipient(s) of the information and the purpose of the data processing; you also have a right to the correction, blocking or deletion of this data, insofar as this is possible. Server-Log-Files

The provider of the webpages automatically collects and stores information sent by your browser automatically in what are known as server log files. This information includes:

  • the public IP address of the computer used to access the website
  • the date and time of the server request
  • the page visited or the file requested (image/document/library etc.)
  • the referrer URL (last page visited)
  • the user agent (browser information): the browser type and version, operating system

This data cannot be traced back to specific persons and is not combined with other data sources. We reserve the right to check this data at a later date if we find any concrete evidence of unlawful use.

Objection to promotional emails

We object to the sending of advertising and informational materials to the addresses published in compliance with the obligations of disclosure in the Impressum section unless such materials have been explicitly requested. The providers of these pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action if unsolicited promotional information is sent to us, for example in the form of spam e-mails.
