How does the apprenticeship market affect young people's career choices?
A study conducted at the University of Berne found that the effect of the lack of specific apprenticeship places is just as unfavourable on a change in career aspirations as the simple availability of apprenticeship places in the desired occupation. The influence of the apprenticeship situation on career choice behaviour shows that there is still much room for optimisation in accompanying this process.
